Former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said of Xi Jinping, “He wants global hegemony. The only thing he understands is power.” Pompeo argues that every transgression by the Chinese must be responded to “in kind.” He said “small things accumulate” and ignoring them results in “continued aggression.”
